ldoelman comes from Leeuwarden, the Netherlands - the land of giants. Born tall, he has never looked up to anyone - a point of great pride. He doesn't like short people with their short-sighted eyes and their narrow, little minds; their little legs that stand so low to the ground; their dirty little feet and nagging little voices that go "blahblahblah".

Besides being a Randy Newman fan, he also enjoys writing. Fiction is his favorite genre. So much so that he has difficulty distinguishing the imaginary from reality from time to time, often blurring the lines between the realms of fact and fiction.

Having been raised by a secluded tribe of Amazons deep in the rain forests of South America, it stands to reason that he is also very secretive. Seldom does he permit himself to tell people the truth about himself. When confronted with such questions as "what do you do?" or "where are you from?", his answers - if indeed he answers at all - are rarely ever the same.

His nature not averse to telling a lie, he is a big believer in the romantic lie; if you are going to lie, lie big, lie with artistic verve, lie with conviction! Such is his motto. His mendacious outbursts can perhaps be forgiven for their outrageous transparency.

Since he saw the movie Inception, his mind has been struggling with the concept of dreams within dreams. To make sure he is, in fact, currently living somewhere in between L.A. and Rio de Janeiro, he has made for himself a small object of a balanced weight that only he knows. This, he hopes, will help root him in reality.

One of his favorite books is "Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell" (pronounced like quarrel). Fascinated by the author's insights into the world of fantasy, he has attempted to enter it himself. He has tried walking through mirrors, visiting old cathedrals with chiming bells at midnight, and has even resorted to jumping into puddles. But he has yet to figure out a way to find this elusive Fairy Realm.
